I’m a fighter who ran to tackle the real problems our neighborhoods are facing. When we fight together, we win!
My name is Anna Hernandez and I’m the Councilwoman for Phoenix City Council District 7.
I come from a big family and was raised by proud, hard-working immigrant parents who hustled to keep a roof over our heads. They taught me to be a problem solver and take care of others.
I’m a tia who wants to see my nephews and nieces achieve more than they dream possible.
ABOUT ME
I’m a sister who lost my little brother and best friend when police killed him while he was experiencing a mental health crisis.
I’m a daughter who lost my dad to COVID19 when he was forced back to his maintenance job during the pandemic.
I’m a fighter who has stood up for our community. As a State Senator, I fought hard and got results on affordable housing, accessible mental health solutions, community safety, and police accountability. And I led the fight to protect abortion in Arizona.
I was elected to Phoenix City Council in 2024 and I represent residents in Downtown Phoenix, Capitol Mall, the Van Buren Corridor, South Phoenix, Estrella, Laveen, Maryvale, and Tolleson.
I am proud of our district and excited for what we can do together!
